The SGX stock is on the uptrend.

The model predicted a modest increase for SGX today.

Stock Volumes

SGX has announced higher volumes in the last quarter. Looking at the six month chart, one can observe the increase in volume during the period of Jan 2020 and March 2020 Looking at YTD. The volumes in the current quarter seems to be sliding down in April 2020. The main concern if Covid 19 is creating a bear rally in April 2020. The concern is artificially inflated with declining volumes. Another interesting observation is the funds outflow from institutional investors. Looking at the table. there is an increasing reduction in buying of fresh stocks in the open market. The reverse is a concern where there is a lot selling from the institutions. 24th August Thoughts

It is frightening to see institutions have continued to sell. It has been selling for more than 2 months. Retails on the other hand and buying, REITS are still a favourite. Institutions finally have bought Medtecs. I am surprised that they bought SATS and dump UOB. I think retails see value in UOB because of the dividend payout this week and Keppel has fallen quite a bit. Singtel is an interesting dividend buy for retailers. UOB has been some selling pressure in the later part of the week.
